Prerana Thakurdesai is a New York-based filmmaker and distribution strategist whose films include Seat at the Table, The Last Ecstatic Days, Where the Light Enters You, The Essential Worker among several others. Her work lives on PBS, The History Channel, Amazon, Apple TV, Youtube. She endeavors to center varied South Asian perspectives in her work. Prerana is the founding member of Bitchitra Collective: Indian Women/Non-binary filmmakers in Documentary and was awarded the DOCNYC Documentary New Leader honor.
